The Stereograph allowed me to take two factual images and
superimpose them in my mind to create a third, fictional world. This
world is strictly mine, and every person who looks through the
stereograph will see their own. We all have Different cultures,
experiences and mechanics in our eyes that effect what we see. So, no
two worlds will be the same. The images merge and morph as your eyes
add and cut out parts of each image to form a superimposed third. I
chose shells to be my main focus as they have beautiful concave and
convex shapes that morph together in the stereograph. The simplicity of
the shell allows you to focus on the details of the superimposition and
how the shapes and spaces collide. Resulting in an x-ray like
superimposition (fictional space) that has never existed.
